Apparently unique and unpublished
Lot 2854
Anonymous, 6th century. Half Siliqua (?) (Silver, 14 mm, 0.60 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis. Helmeted, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantinopolis to right. Rev. Large Я. Bendall, Anonymous silver, RN 158 (2002), -, cf. Type 9 (R not retrograde). Apparently unique and unpublished. Somewhat granular, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This interesting example appears to be unique. The original reverse was clearly a large K, which has been rotated 180 degrees and re-engraved into a retrograde R. Perhaps this specimen is an aberrant example of Bendall (2002), Type 9.
